About the Foothills Camera Club

Promoting Photography Through Education and Fellowship

 

The Foothills Camera Club (FCC), founded in 1953, has grown into a vibrant club with over 150 members, making us one of the largest clubs in Canada. Through our programs we communicate the finer points of photography as an art form. We help you understand and be successful in photographic technique and composition to evoke an emotional response. We help you create images that make people stop and take notice.

 

Our meetings are all about entertainment, education and inspiration. Usually there is a speaker and we show the results of a competition. Speakers may be either club members, professional photographers, local camera store representatives, or people for whom  some aspect of photography is their passion. Topics could be anything from nature or  landscape photography, travel photography, portrait photography, or of a technical or inspirational nature.
